Where Our Story Began

Before TideSpark, there was Xingxingbang (星星帮).

Back in 2017, all we had were a few microphones, too many cups of tea, and a slightly unreasonable belief that stories could make life a little brighter.

So we started creating original Mandarin audio dramas.

One story became another. Then listeners arrived. Then they stayed.

Over time, those stories found new forms — original characters, cultural creations, books, animated stories, and even offline gatherings where people who had never met could laugh over the same stories.

The biggest surprise wasn’t that our little story world kept growing. It was that we grew together.

Some of our earliest listeners are now university students or young professionals. They still come back and tell us, “I grew up with Xingxingbang.”

Stories cannot solve every problem. But they can stay beside you for a while. Sometimes, that is enough.

There isn’t just one way to experience a story.
